Growing up as an only child in Cornwall, Rebs often found herself writing short stories and watching movies and TV shows to pass the time. Falling in love with writing, she knew from the age of 13 that she wanted to write for the screen.
Rebs moved to Wales in 2017 to study English Literature at Cardiff University as a first generation student. Throughout her studies, she advocated for the LGBTQ+ community as Cardiff University's elected LGBTQ+ Officer, and through her involvement as CU Pride's secretary.
Graduating in 2020, Rebs had already obtained several credits working within the industry on interactive movies, which she'd balanced alongside part-time work and studying.
Since then, she's worked in the production office and on set, working her way up from a locations trainee to a qualified script supervisor. As a script supervisor, Rebs has worked for the likes of Lucasfilm, BBC, Hulu, S4C, interactive films, and indie companies.
Rebs is particularly proud of her work on set for the hard-hitting trans youth storyline in Casualty and as an LGBTQ+ script consultant on interactive film Ten Dates. Rebs has also sat on the BAFTA Games Narrative Jury and the BAFTA Cymru Writing Jury.
As a writer/director, Rebs has currently made five short films, and is actively working towards her first pilot as a BAFTA Connect member.
Proudly identifying as a lesbian and working-class disabled filmmaker, Rebs is passionate about diversifying the film and television industries. She strongly believes that film and television are powerful social tools, capable of transcending language and cultural barriers to educate and entertain global audiences on the lived experiences of others.
As a writer/director, Rebs' specialty is coming-of-age stories, dramedies, fantasy, adaptations, and interactive scripts.
Rebs is currently studying for her MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA's prestigious School of Theatre, Film and Television as the UK's BAFTA-Fulbright scholar for 2024-2025.
